On 18 August Arron Anderson, his family and some friends hired Trow Pool for a birthday party. What follows is a brief summary of the days events.

Arron, his dad Michael and friends Matthew (Hunt) and Matthew (Horton), (left picture) arrived at 9.00 am to be met by James Bryant, Di Welsh , Shane and Dean Harris (the committee of Bicester and District Angling Alliance) .

After a brief introduction and draw for pegs (no cheating), the fishing competition started. It ran for most of the day and its goal was to decide who could catch the largest fish and also the most fish. During the day help was provided by the committee and especially Dean (I can catch a carp in 5 minutes) Harris whose knowledge of Trow Pool is legendary as is his eating habits.
