MEADOW BUTTERCUP (latin: ranunculus acris) photographed at Trow Pool in the summer of 2007.
Widespread at Trow and an abundant perennial of grassland habitats.The leaves are rounded and dividided into 3-7 lobes.
The flowers appear between April to October and comprise of five shiney, yellow petals and have upright sepals.
May grow up to 100cm in height.
