RED CAMPION (latin: silene dioica) photographed at Trow Pool in the summer of 2007 and quite common. Look out for it between March-October.
The flowers are pinkish red some 20-25mm across and have five petals. The leaves are hairy in opposite pairs on an upright stem.
May be biennial or perennial.
May grow up to 100cm in height.
