Favourite food: insects, shellfish, worms and vegetable matter
Baits: bread, sweet corn, worms, luncheon meat and maggots
Typical Tench landed at Trow Pool.
Tench like to feed on the bottom but will take bait off the surface in the summer. Tench feed enthusiastically only in warm, bright summer months and early morning and evening are the best times to catch them.
You can float fish or leger for Tench and line should be greater than 6 lb.
