I bet you like sauce or mayonnaise on your fish and chips to make them more appetising?

Well carp, like humans, will always choose the tastiest food if given a choice. Trust me.

I flavour my bait, particularly bread on the surface, with liquid flavouring such as strawberry from the Van Den Eyne range (see bottle in picture).

However, it can be a bit of a bind using the bottle. So I've got hold of some empty nasal spray bottles and filled them with Strawberry, Tutti Fruitti and Whisky flavouring. Then when I'm fishing on the surface I give my bait (see bread presentation) a spray of the flavouring and then cast out. Sorted!
