LORDS & LADIES (latin: arum maculatum) photographed at Trow Pool in the summer of 2007.
Perennial of woods and hedgerows and common at Trow between April and May. The leaves are arrow shaped and shiney amd may have purple spots on them.
The flowers are purple rod like spadix shrouded by cowl like spathe. Berries are red.
May grow up to 50cm in height.
